The man, the myth, the legend, Jack Orman. Jack's site has a fantastic collection of articles, projects, technical discussions, and also offers low-cost PCBs for some projects. Jack is the originator of many unique circuits that have launched more than a few boutique pedal vendors. As with GeoFX, bring a bag lunch and plan to be there for a while.

Projects, Articles, a huge assortment of pedal projects along with schematics, parts layouts, and here's the best part--you can buy low-cost boards for most of the projects. GGG rules.

Great set of veroboard layouts for many classic and cool circuits.

Kits and Boards

Officially Licensed Circuits
www.olcircuits.com
OLCircuits offers a wide array of very interesting kits--for circuits you can't find anywhere else. I've built several of Mark's kits and his honest attitude to presenting and supporting his products is a breath of fresh air.
Build Your Own Clone

BYOC offers great kits for all skill ranges. Reasonable prices, decent docs, and the kits pretty much include everything you need.  I've built several and love them. Plus great tech support. Highly recommended,

PAIA
www.paia.com
Great kits for musicians. They folks have been around forever, and are pretty much the sole source for full kits from Craig Anderton's original effects designs back in the day. Be sure to check out the Quadrafuzz. Mmmm...tasty.

Buying Parts

Small Bear Electronics
www.smallbearelec.com
Great shop that specializes in components for guitar effects builders. The site is super easy to use and makes buying components a breeze.
Mouser
www.mouser.com
Mouser is huge. Really huge. Every component you could ever dream of, millions of them. This is a big professional outlet, they stock tons of stuff, and ship very quickly. You can easily become intimidated by the sheer breadth, and with all the options they offer, it can be a bit difficult for a beginner to understand and select the right components. The coolest thing about Mouser is that they will send you a catalog of their stuff and it is huge--the size of a big phonebook--for free. Do yourself a favor--get the catalog. It is a great resource for all sorts of DIY projects. Also fantastic reading while you're on the crapper.
Digikey
www.digikey.com
Haven't ordered from them before, but a good resource for lots of parts.
